Clear, concise planning advice specialising in enforcement matters, refusals, and appeal submissions.
Formal advice with practical next steps for homeowners, architects and developers
Planning enforcement deals with issues such as unauthorised building works or changes of use. The process can feel complex and intimidating, with strict deadlines, technical terminology, and sometimes conflicting advice.
With over a decade of experience working in Local Planning Authorities, LPA Planner brings that expertise directly to homeowners, architects, and developers, with years of experience:
LPA Planner was created to make clear, concise planning advice, even for complex matters or enforcement investigations. Every service has a clear scope of work and fees, with defined timeframes and formal written advice, so you know what to expect and when.
Choose the service that best suits your needs and fill out the enquiry form.
LPA Planner checks your enquiry, assigns a reference number, issues an invoice, and requests any documents.
Work begins once documents are received and payment is cleared.
Documented outcomes will be given in the advertised times, and can be explained if needed.
Have questions about planning enforcement or how LPA Planner works? Here are clear answers to the most common questions people ask before starting a service.
Planning enforcement is the process that upholds the integrity of the planning system.
It ensures that laws, policies, and planning decisions are followed, balancing the freedom to make changes to land and property against the potential harm those changes may cause. It is a statutory function of Local Planning Authorities, even if not widely publicised.
LPA stands for Local Planning Authority. This is usually your local council, responsible for deciding planning applications and investigating breaches. LPA Planner reflects over a decade of experience working inside LPAs, and now offers that insight and independent advice to help homeowners, agents, and businesses navigate the system with clarity.
LPA Planner offers specialist planning enforcement advice, while also providing guidance on a wide range of planning matters: from the likelihood of permission and next steps, to comments on applications and appeal submissions.
The step-by-step process keeps everything clear and concise, with planning advice issued only once you’re happy at each stage. What sets LPA Planner apart is insider knowledge, enforcement expertise, and years of experience helping people navigate complex planning issues with confidence.
LPA Planner provides a broad range of town planning expertise, with a particular focus on planning enforcement matters. Clients include homeowners, amenity societies, neighbours and neighbourhood groups, as well as planning agents seeking specialist enforcement advice.
